Calvary Chapel Katy has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal difference that have led to the division of the body of Christ.
We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
Calvary Chapel Katy is a Christian fellowship: We gather together to praise and glorify Jesus Christ. Our purpose is threefold: Pursue, Equip, and Go.
Pursue:
Pursuing a loving, relationship with God is man’s highest calling and it should be every believer’s focus. All ministry flows out of this relationship.
Equip:
As Christians, it should be our desire to equip and prepare each other for service as we grow in God’s Word. We meet regularly to be trained according to what the Bible teaches. We believe the Bible is the owner’s manual for the lives of all people.
Go:
Jesus commanded, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt. 28:19). Our desire is that every Christian will influence those him or her associates with and make an impact for Christ.
Vision Statement: Calvary Katy must be a hospital for sinners, a house of prayer, the pillar & ground of the truth, & a family of honor.

Calvary Katy Vision:
The vision for Calvary Katy must align with God’s vision for the church, which is already laid out in Scripture. In the book of 1 Timothy, Paul supplies us with God’s vision for the church through various commands. From this book, we see that Calvary Katy must be:
1. A hospital for sinners (chapter 1) – God’s word is used to save, love, & equip sinners 2. A house of prayer (chapter 2) – God’s desire to save everyone means praying for everyone – men & women should serve God in their equal yet distinct roles 3. The pillar & ground of the truth (chapters 3&4) – believers (& especially leaders) model & teach the truth of God’s word 4. A family of honor (chapters 5&6) – everyone strives to show honor to others, including to the needy, & to live a life of honor before God
