Larry Gregg from Calvary Houston...just wanted to congratulate Pastor Mark for being on the radio...it will be a great blessing to get to listen to him regularly...God Bless
Many of you from the Calvary Katy family know my family well and know that my lovely wife Erin just gave birth to our newest addition (Dimi Hazel) on Saturday. For those of you who do not know about Calvary I want to brag a little about these wonderful servants of the LORD. My wife Erin does the cooking in our home but after having delivered she was at the mercy me (the guy who can burn a mean salad) to feed the kids while she recovered. Much to my surprise, our beautiful church family has been over with meals for our family every day for the past 7 days to spare my family from food poisoning that would have likely followed any attempt that I made to cook for them. We are so blessed to be a part of such an awesome church family and we want to encourage everyone who reads this to come out and visit Calvary Katy. It is a real church, with real people, that really care. The teaching is awesome, the worship is sweet, and the fellowship is fantastic! Thank you all for your support of our family during this exciting new chapter of our lives. In Calvary Love, -Nick & Erin Covanes
Calvary Katy has been a huge blessing to my family and I. We are very thankful for the messages that Pastor Mark brings to the table and his heart to serve. This is a family friendly church that welcomes anyone with open arms. Everyone is very kind and there is nothing but love that outpours from this awesome ministry.
Getting to experience a small church has proven some new challenges and therefore a lot of growth for me and my family spiritually. The spiritual maturity in all of us individually has been exponential since attending here at Calvary Katy. The accountability is exactly what we need to keep fighting the good fight. Getting to know the pastor personally and his wife's heart for the ministry is inspiring and I am so grateful for their response to their call to plant this church.
My family and I have attended for about 18 months and we have grown so much in that time. We attended a mega church before and were not really as involved as we are now.
The men's and women's bible studies on Saturdays are a great place to learn more about God's word and request and receive prayer. The annual men's and women's retreats help you take time to hear from God is peaceful locations like Galveston and the Texas Hill country.
There are plenty opportunities for you to "go and make disciples" - whether you want to do it inside the walls of the church or in the Katy community.
If you are looking for a church, that allows you to sit silently on the sidelines, this is probably not the church for you. But if you want to roll up your sleeves and start serving the Lord and your community, this is place for you.
Read Isaiah 61 and find God’s promises to bind your broken heart and lift your spirit – if you accept the message of hope that God offers you. On Mother’s day in 1936 my mother showed me the way to have God in my life – and it lasts, I can testify to that. Last Mother’s Day I celebrated the 76th anniversary of my second birth!
In January 1991, I had surgery for a fast growing malignant melanoma, and was told that I might have six good months. God showed me, in Isaiah 43 verses 1 thru 4, that He was bigger than my problem and had other plans for my life. Praise God, I am a 22 year cancer survivor.
Not matter how you’ve lived or what you’ve done, I pray that you will take advantage of this offer to find out how you too, can have this assurance. Come to Calvary Chapel Katy next Sunday, or call Pastor Mark today. You will learn what you have been missing. but most of all, why you need this same assurance. It will cost you nothing – it’s absolutely free. Rejecting Jesus Christ will definitely cost you eternal life. Do you really want to miss that opportunity? See you? Eleanor
When my family came to Katy to serve we were so happy to find a place that embraced our entire family. Many churches seem put out by kids, but Calvary Chapel Katy is very welcoming and kid-friendly.
